French Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of Paris,

and

School of Public Health, University of Minnesota

Fall Semester 2003

Dear Students Interested in Global Health:

A number of you have inquired about this course and I am pleased to say it will be offered in the Fall. For those who have tried to register unsuccessfully, the problem was that I had not specified a maximum number for the class. That has been remedied (I said 50 maximum) and the change should be in the University registration

system within the next couple of days. You should hopefully be able to register by Friday of this week.

Please note that there are no prerequisites for this course. I will have a course syllabus and other details available in the Summer.

You will be able to register for 1-2 credits, with the required one credit involving a final written exam., and a second optional credit

for a paper.

The required texts for this course are:

International Public Health

ISBN: 0834212285 Pub: Aspen
